WEST KEAL AND KEAL COTES PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the remote meeting held on Wednesday 2nd  December 2020 at 7pm via Zoom.
Present: With Councillor Moody in the Chair there were also present councillor(s) Lacey, Rowntree, Hepworth and Rickard. County councillor Aron was also present.   
Public: There were no members of public present. 
29. Chairman’s remarks – The chairman welcomed all present and thanked them for coming as it has been a long time since the council has had a meeting. 

30. Apologies for absence and reasons given – Councillor Hepworth was listening to the meeting but was unable to participate. 

31. To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation – There were none. 

32. The notes from the meeting of the Council held on Wednesday 7th October 2020 (attached) to be approved as Minutes and signed by the Chairman
It was:-
Proposed by Councillor Lacey and Seconded by Councillor Rowntree and RESOLVED by all that the notes be approved as minutes and signed by the chairman.  

33. To consider and approve the following payments
a) Laser Tech Speed gun - £286.80 PAID
b) Protech Signs CSW - £96.84 PAID    
c) Howsafe Ltd CSW jackets – £95.04 PAID
d) S. Kulwicki – Paper, pens and Ink -£66.35
e) S. Kulwicki – Travel claim to drop off CWS equipment - £10.80
f) Inkonomical – £88.00
       It was:-
Proposed by Councillor Moody and Seconded by Councillor Rowntree and RESOLVED by all that the above payment be approved and duly paid.   

g) To discuss the quotes for village gates
It was:-
Proposed by Councillor Rowntree and Seconded by Councillor Lacey and RESOLVED by all that Councillor Moody approach a local business to see if they would help with funding the purchase of village gates. 

34. Reports from outside bodies – County Councillor Bill Aron told the council the county newsletter/ email is now out and the county council are working with schools in the area with Covid-19 outbreaks. He also reported that there is a new email for reporting nuisance parking. 

35. Highways Issues

a) Councillor Rowntree reported that he is pleased that the Fen road issue has been addressed and that the county council know that it is the factories fault for causing such damage to the road. 

36. Planning Application/s
a) Ref: S/204/02071/20 – Land adjacent to the villa, Keal cotes. Planning permission for the erection of a detached house with 3 bay garage and an office/ garden room. No comments where made. 

37. Correspondence for the Council – The clerk was asked to email the CSW team and see if there are any refresher courses running via Zoom. 

38. The co-option of any potential candidates – None.
