WEST KEAL AND KEAL COTES PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the remote meeting held on Wednesday 13th January 2021 at 7pm via Zoom.
Present: With Councillor Moody in the Chair there were also present councillor(s) Lacey, Rowntree  and Rickard. County councillor Aron was also present.   
Public: There was two members of public present. 
Public forum:
The members of public present brought up their concerns with Hall lane. Loose chippings where put down last year and since then they have not settled and caused extensive damage to the users vehicles. The road has been swept twice since the chipping have been down but once it rains they all gather in the same place again. County councillor Aron has agreed to chase the matter and see what can be done to resolve the problems. He also recommended to the public to put in a claim form so the cost for the damages on the vehicle/s can be claimed back. 
41. Chairman’s remarks – The chairman welcomed all present and thanked them for coming. He told all present that he had hoped for a better start to the year but hopefully things improve. 

42. Apologies for absence and reasons given – Councillor Hepworth was not present. 

43. To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation – There were none. 

44. The notes from the meeting of the Council held on Wednesday 2nd December 2020 (attached) to be approved as Minutes and signed by the Chairman
       It was:-
Proposed by Councillor Lacey and Seconded by Councillor Rowntree and RESOLVED by all that the notes be approved as minutes and signed by the chairman.  

45. To consider and approve the following payments – None.

46. Reports from outside bodies – County councillor Aron told the council that the roll out for vaccinations if underway and there is a very co-ordinated plan. 

47. Highways Issues 
a) Councillor Rowntree told the council that Fen lane is still an ongoing issue. 
b) Councillor Rowntree reported a collapsed tree and damaged verge opposite Willoby House. 
c)  Councillor Moody told the council that some large vehicles have been coming down Mill lane which is unsuitable for them. He has reported it to LCC and signs have been put up to avoid the road. He has also complained to Viking Link as he believes they where looking for the Viking link site. 
d) Councillor Lacey reported the damaged road edge on Hagnaby Lane. 
e) Councillor Rickard told the council she has reported the steps on church lane as they are very slippery and someone could have a nasty fall. 
f) Councillor Moody reported the broken rail at the bus stop to councillor Aron.

48. Planning Application/s – Nothing recent. 

49. Correspondence for the Council – The clerk told the council that everything is sent through email. Councillor Moody told the council that he had an email from the Wolds wildlife group he is going to give them councillor Rickards details so they can discuss the survey they wish to do. Councillor Moody also told the council that he had been in contact with Viking link about the lack of communication to the locals including the parish council. Viking link actively promoted working with the community and giving support but they haven’t done this yet. 

50. The co-option of any potential candidates  - None. 

51. Date of next meeting – The date of the next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 10th March 2021 via Zoom unless a meeting can be held. 

52. Any other matters for inclusion on the next agenda – There were none.
